Busy day yesterday ... While I was in a meeting I sketched the coffee mug of the guy beside me ... and also drew a bug. Working on shading and how to make things look more 3-dimensional, rather than lines on a paper ~
ReplyDeleteUsed this as a sketchbook assignment for my eighth graders. I let them choose the lines on the sides...should be fun!
ReplyDeleteJane, how is the 3-D going? What tips can you give on this new study?
ReplyDeleteDani, How did the sketchbook assignment go for the eighth graders? I would love to see that!
They turn it in next wed. I will try to take some pictures and post them!
ReplyDeleteI love making sketch, and then using my finger to blend the lines. It softens them, and gives them dimension.
ReplyDeleteDani, I look forward to seeing the images by your students...what were their comments as they tried this activity?
ReplyDeleteJane, Sounds meditative:)
